These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Fruit Besties, a private AI fruit-bestie group chat for users 16+ who want support with tea, feelings, venting, and messy life moments.
By using Fruit Besties, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Age requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use Fruit Besties. If you are under 16, you may not use the app.
2. What Fruit Besties provides
Fruit Besties offers AI-generated conversation, emotional support, social-situation reflection, and playful bestie-style responses. The app is meant to help you feel less alone and think through everyday situations. Fruit Besties is not a social network and does not let users directly message other users.
Fruit Besties is not medical care, therapy, diagnosis, legal advice, financial advice, emergency support, or a replacement for trusted people or qualified professionals.
3. Safety and emergencies
If you may hurt yourself or someone else, feel unsafe, or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a trusted person right away. Fruit Besties cannot provide emergency response.
4. Your content
You are responsible for the text, screenshots, photos, and other information you choose to share with the app. Please do not upload content you do not have the right to share, including another person's private content without permission.
You keep ownership of your content. You give Fruit Besties permission to process your content only as needed to provide the app, operate the service, improve safety, enforce fair-use and abuse protections, debug issues, and support the features you use.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Fruit Besties to stalk, harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, violate privacy, request intimate image reads, request explicit sexual content involving minors, generate abusive content, or break the law. Do not try to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, or abuse the service.
Fruit Besties may refuse, limit, or change responses for safety, abuse prevention, technical reliability, or policy reasons.
6. AI responses
AI responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or not right for your situation. You are responsible for your decisions and should use your own judgment. For serious situations, talk to a trusted person or qualified professional.
Fruit Besties may use third-party AI providers, including DeepSeek and OpenAI, to generate responses. Fruit Besties may also use OpenAI omni-moderation to review user-submitted text, selected images, recognized text from images, and related context for sensitive content, safety handling, abuse prevention, and policy enforcement.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
Fruit Besties may offer auto-renewable subscriptions or in-app purchases through Apple. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation, refund eligibility, and billing settings. Subscription terms, price, trial length, renewal period, and confirmation details shown in the App Store or Apple purchase sheet apply to your purchase.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.
8. Fair use and availability
Fruit Besties relies on AI and cloud services. We may apply reasonable usage limits, slowdowns, or temporary restrictions to prevent abuse, protect the service, manage costs, or keep the app available. Paid access does not permit unsafe, abusive, illegal, or policy-violating use.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Fruit Besties handles information. By using the app, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes and availability
Fruit Besties may change, pause, or discontinue features. We may update these terms as the app changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
